About the Role
The Donor Engagement Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring an exceptional experience for all supporters of the Media Research Center, with a special focus on our monthly giving program. This position supports donor communications, manages logistical needs, and ensures donors have what they need, whether that's account help, event information, or general support.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Monthly Giving Program
- Manage and grow the Patriot Fund monthly giving program, including onboarding, communication, and benefit fulfillment.
- Ensure timely thank-you communications and ongoing stewardship for monthly donors.
- Monitor and resolve donor account issues, including payment updates, failed transactions, and contact changes.
- Maintain accurate records in the donor database and flag supporters who may require special attention or follow-up.
Donor Support & Stewardship
- Serve as a friendly, professional point of contact for donor inquiries via phone, email, and mail.
- Provide timely responses to donor questions about donations, membership status, and account updates.
- Fulfill donor materials, welcome packets, and thank-you mailings.
- Assist with processing donations and acknowledgments as needed.
- Maintain accurate donor information and ensure data integrity in the CRM.
Events & Donor Logistics
- Coordinate donor RSVPs, event check-in, seating, and onsite experience at donor events.
- Act as a liaison between donors and staff at events—ensuring a smooth, welcoming atmosphere.
- Support donor hospitality and logistics at both small and large-scale gatherings.
- Ensure all donor-facing details are executed accurately and professionally.
Administrative Support
- Provide phone coverage as needed.
- Assist with donor-related mailings and data entry across Development, Events, and External Affairs.
- Respond to constituent comment mail and update contact preferences as requested.
- Prepare materials for donor events and support logistics behind the scenes.
- Serve as primary back-up for check entry.
Required Experience & Education:
- 0-2 years of experience in donor relations, customer service, membership, or nonprofit development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a donor-first, service-minded approach.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective problem solver who thrives in fast-paced environments.
- Experience with donor databases or CRMs preferred.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings/weekends for donor events or special projects.
