
Nozim Ishankulov
Vice President, Finance
Nozim Ishankulov is a finance professional, policy analyst, and public activist. He currently serves as Vice President of Finance at the Media Research Center (MRC), which he joined in 2025. His responsibilities include financial planning and analysis, budgeting, risk management, and providing strategic guidance to the executive team.
Before joining MRC, Nozim held senior finance roles in both commercial companies and nonprofit organizations. Notably, he served for three years as Controller at the Leadership Institute.
Originally from Tajikistan, Nozim was previously Executive Director of the Tajikistan Free Market Center, a think tank dedicated to advancing free-market reforms in this post-Soviet country. His op-eds and commentaries on economic issues have been published and cited by various national and regional media outlets. After relocating to the United States, he completed internships at several prominent think tanks, including the Cato Institute, the Mercatus Center, and the Texas Public Policy Foundation.
Nozim holds a master’s degree in International Commerce and Policy with a concentration in Global Finance from George Mason University. He also earned a B.S. in Economics and Finance from the Russian Tajik Slavic University. In addition to English, he speaks Russian, Farsi, and Uzbek.
